Chelsea Wolfe – Carrion Flowers
From the LP “Abyss” – 2015
Chelsea Wolfe – Movie Screen
Live at Amoeba – March 2012
One of my absolute favourite artists, Chelsea Wolfe combines Gothic, Black Metal sounds with a kind of folk heritage – On Abyss, she took an industrial electronic edge to her music as well. I’m lost for words and struggle to emphasise how good she is, so just watch the two videos above.
Carrion Flowers is the relentless static-storm opener on Chelsea Wolfe’s most recent LP. Movie Screen is a unique looped song from the older “Apokalypsis”, and the first song she played when I first saw her live by accident and fell in love with her music. All of it is vocals and all of it is live.
Chelsea Wolfe is playing in London on the 18th of April, at Heaven.
